A 700W Class G amplifier powers a subwoofer, while the two 250W Class AB amplifier channels power two satellites. The amplifier features an integrated BBE Sonic Maximizer which transforms the system from a flat response to deep lows and pristine highs. The LF contour and HF process allows you to fine tune the response to your venue and sound preferences. A built-in compressor / limiter makes sure to provide your system with protection from clipping. With a 3rd order Butterworth crossover at 100 Hz, the amplifier provides thundering lows while maintaining the clarity of the top end. The 12dB/octave subsonic filter at 30 Hz helps clean up the muddiness of the low end. Adjust the sub phase with a 0/180 degree phase switch to ensure your system sounds the best it can. Combo XLR / 1/4 balanced stereo inputs and full range outputs, along with an unbalanced RCA inputs, allow for the amp to be used in a many situations. Each channel features level controls to fine tune the PA system. Thermal and short circuit protection circuitry along with efficient and quiet 2-speed fan cooling protects the amplifier. Each speaker order includes the following instructions: To “audition” a speaker without scratching or marking it will require getting into the speaker cabinet and listening to it play without actually mounting it with screws. This can be done by tilting the cabinet back and setting the speaker in place. If the cabinet has bare wire leads, just wrap them around the solder lug connector on the back of the speaker to make the electrical connections. A friend can help hold the speaker in place while you listen to the new speaker. This is, of course, not an optimal way to listen to a speaker, but will give you the opportunity to identify major response problems or poor tonal characteristics prior to mounting.
