For sale is a Vintage Stereo Schoeps CMTS 501U Mikrophone from the 70ies. In excellent condition for its age. Mic comes in its original box with suspension mount and stereo splitter lead converts 5pin XLR output of mic to two normal 3pin XLR connectors. Note, the mic requires 48volt phantom power. I’ll also include its original 30 metre 5-core XLR cable. Each capsule can be set to omni, cardiod or figure-of-eight pattern and the top capsule rotates to set any stereo angle. Nice warm sound, due in part to it’s transformered output. Unusually the pattern characteristics are obtained by mechanical, not electronic means; consequently I don’t think they are as defined as more modern multi-pattern mics.
