This LED display should be judged as an upgrade not simply a replacement. Display will arrive ready to Plug N Play. Bolt it in, plug it in, switch it on. The original ribbon used to connect the old display, connects to the new display in the same way, this is important as it simplifies the whole install process. This is possible because the correct RA LIF connector is attached to the display before it ships. The pitch of the LIF connector on the new graphic matches the pitch of the FFC ribbon on both mixers. To connect up, you will simply, disconnect the ribbon from the old display, reconnect it to the new display. Finally, connect up the backlight, this is also on a connector leaving it plug N play as well. I’ll provide you with visual instructions of a new display connected up for ref. No skills are required to install this graphic. The backlight connections and circuits to fine tune the contrast are also incorporated within. The display problems, associated with these mixers, is a direct result of the inferior quality of the old display construction and the limited lifespan of the ccfl backlight (15-20k hours) Once the old display is removed / replaced with an LED backlight, the display performance is improved. Backlight performance increases 5 fold to a typical (100k hours) for an LED. Therefore, display lifespan of 15-20+ years, should be expected, once installed in your mixer.
