With its compact 1U rack unit height, this model from dbx is a versatile and reliable option for enhancing and shaping audio signals in a studio or live setting. This is a solid great sounding unit that served me well for both live and recording applications but I’ve moved to a digital mixer for live so it’s time to move it on. Dbx are industry standard compressors and the sound you hear on countless recordings. Sounded great for evening out vocals and fattening up a kick drum which is what I used it for.
