These mini wharfedale speakers were used as budget mixcubes in my home studio. I filled the rear bass port with foam to keep the low end flat, and they have no tweeters so you get a mid range response out of them without dealing with a crossover in the midrange. The drivers are not as big as mixcubes so play a little higher, so Inititally to get mid range honk I rolled the treble a bit on the amp which drives them but in the long term found it wasnt necessary as they dont have distracting treble.
