BFE-Filtek MK7, 3 Band Parametric EQ. HF Gain switch is missing it’s red cap. Amphenol connector not included. Unit tested prior to listing for basic gain, frequency, and bypass function in a Sonic World 4x module danner rack. Tech services indicated on label were performed by Steve Veilleux of SVT Audio in April 2012. These are excellent EQs with impeccable build and audio quality. Very versatile for vintage 3 band EQs. This rack works for 4 modules in A1 format (190×40 cm front panel). It was probably built by BFE Filtek or Neumann. It contains a 24V DC power supply with a main Volatgae of 100-240V as also a complete wiring to XLR input & output. The wiring was done for Filtek MK3 EQ`s. It works for nearly all Filtek units. For Modules from other manufacturers it has to slightly changed. The following modules would fit into the Rack / Lunchbox: Neumann U473, W492, W495 W495STB W444, W491 (with adding a holder plate)… Telefunken ELA 150a, W690, W691, W696 TAB W95c/d, W395… BFE/Filek MK2, MK3, BKE1, BKE3, BKE4, MV1 (with adding a holder plate)… Modules from EMT, ANT, Barth, Hensmann…. Bei allen vier Modulen handelt es sich um hochwertige deutsche bzw. Schweizer Rundfunktechnik der goldenen Nachkriegsjahre. Ins 19-Rack eingepasst und mit modernen Anschlüssen versorgt wurden die Schätzchen vom Hamburger Spezialisten Vintage Audio Rentals (Tim Wood). Der V676b ist komplett trafosymmetrisch und im Unterschied zu anderen Modulen der 80er Jahre z. B V676 ohne B noch mit voll-diskretem Signalweg aufgebaut, also klanglich und technisch vergelichbar mit V276-Modulen. Die Verstärung ist bis 70dB regelbar. Außerdem verfügt der V676b über einen Schalter für Phasenumkehrung und einen zuschaltbaren 3-stufigen Hochpassfilter. Die Module lassen sich auf der Rückseite des Racks in Reihe schalten oder einzeln nutzen, so dass sich das Rack bequem als luxuriöser to-go Preamp für Aufnahmen außer Haus oder aber auch als Aufwertung eines Tonstudios nutzen lässt. Über ein externes Netzteil, das nicht Bestandteil des Angebotes ist, lässt sich Phantomspeisung zuschalten. Der Zustand der Module ist dem Alter gemäß gut, das bedeutet, es kann beim Schalten der Pegel bzw. Frequenzen zu Knacksern kommen. Wird gerade keine Einstellung verändert, arbeiten die Module alle absolut zuverlässig und klingen traumhaft. Der 19-Rahmen verfügt über einen Anschluss für ein Netzteil, das 24V und 48V bieten soll. Das Netzteil ist nicht Bestandteil der Auktion, da ich das Rack an einem Netzteil angeschlossen hatte, das mehrere Geräte versorgt. Ein passendes Netzteil lässt sich schnell und unkompliziert anschließen, wenn man ein bisschen löten kann, die Belegung ist auf dem Gehäuse notiert. This Velvet Audio rack contains a matched pair of BFE Filtek SB3 Vinatge limiters. The modules were used as master limiter in broadcast studios a they have the highest quality. They use input and output transformers which are responsable for the natural, warm and colored sound. This new rack provides a very spezial function. With the x-former 1 / 2 switch you can have a second output for monitoring (position 1) or the transformers are wired in series to arise the coloring (postion 2). The level was matched so you can compare the sound with using the switch. The SB3 is definitely adding a warm and natural Vintage sound and y. Ou are enabled to arise the RMS level a lot.
