Neutrik Male XLR to TRS Jack 1/4 Van Damme Active Monitor Speaker Cable. TRS 1/4 Jack to Male XLR cable, can be used with active speakers / active studio monitors or for patching. This cable features a combination of ultra pure silver plated oxygen free copper (UPOFC), and bare copper stands within the twisted pair of signal conductors, then shielded with a spiral of 80 oxygen free ultra-pure copper strands which screens out RF and EMI interference, low noise. The sound this cable delivers is accurate and neutral, allowing tight yet fuller deep bass along with strong detailed mid-range, and a high-end sparkle which is satisfying. We use silver 4 percent solder when making this cable. Why 4 percent solder? The finished solder joint is harder than standard lead-free solder and gives a bright shiny finish, it also helps with the sound giving that end sparkle found in Van Damme cable. The XLR contacts are also silver plated to match the cable, all complementing each other. Custom made for you with choices length and 10 colours of cable. I was the former owner of a Bricks-n-Mortar Audio Store/Showroom, sadly now closed. There will be additional items added soon. Our Audio Store/Showroom also had an associate company’Cranfield Electrical Ltd. Which manufactured and serviced customers from a wide range of industries. 1.5 metre long UK Screened Mains Power Lead. Similar (almost identical) to Rega Mains Power Lead. Insofar as the 1.5m Mains Power Lead is concerned. Also manufactured an equivalent to the Rega. However, whilst we bought the same materials, naturally our equivalent product could not be completely identical, so our CAL brand and tuning fork LOGO was printed on the heat shrinkable sleeving. For the Rega version, that we manufactured for a period of time, the Rega printing was used for their Mains Power Leads, and their packaging was also used. This was the only difference between the two cables, other than the main difference – Price! The mains plug top and IEC connector are the same as those that we also used when producing the Mains Power Lead for Rega. To protect the product whilst in transit, and packed inside a pizza style recyclable cardboard box with minimal labelling. No expensive printing was justified, we just kept the. Product to a very high standard and at a very competitive price. The choice is now yours. Also advertised elsewhere, subject to prior sale.

By connecting to the amplifier’s speaker outputs the sonic signature of the entire amplification chain is folded into the signal for the sub, thereby keeping timing and timbre cues consistent. In other words, the signal sent to the REL is the same signal sent to the speakers, allowing for seamless integration. This connection can be made without affecting the performance of the amplifier because the sub’s amplifier input impedance is 100,000 ohms. This scheme also avoids adding any detrimental effects by not interposing any additional electronics into the amplification chain. The standard high level hook up procedure is: attach the red wire to the amplifier’s right positive speaker output terminal; attach the yellow wire to the amplifier’s left positive speaker output terminal; attach the black wire to which ever of the amplifier’s ground output terminals is convenient; plug the Speakon connector into the sub’s high level input. For differential amplifiers using one sub, simply use the standard connecting scheme with the exception of connecting ground to chassis ground, not to speaker output ground, and then connecting into the high level input (Hi Input or Unbal Hi Input on Stentor III and Studio III). For differential amplifiers using two subs for each channel: connect red to positive; yellow to negative; and black to chassis ground; plug the Speakon into the balanced high level input (Bal Hi Input). Low-level connection, RCA inputs (or XLR on some models), is always an option, should high-level connection not be possible, or in a theatre system where both high-level and low-level connection should be used. When connecting to the low level inputs, connect a single RCA cable to the 0dB RCA jack. Additional gain can be achieved by connecting to the +12dB input. If you are connecting two channels of stereo output from a pre-amplifier, simply use a high-quality y-adaptor to sum the two signals together.
