On turning a knob the display shows besides the new also the old value for targeted, non-destructive editing. Incoming Midi data will be merged with the parameter changes from the frontpanel and will be sent together into your synthesizer. Roland SH-09 Synthesizer Klassiker aus ca. Ich selbst hab ihn nie benutzt und er stand zumindest die letzten 15 Jahre (seit ich ihn habe) nur im Schrank. Jetzt darf er weiterziehen, hoffentlich nicht in den nächsten Schrank ; Alles funktioniert, kein einziges Poti oder Fader kratzt, kein Schalter hängt lose, alles sitzt fest an seinem Platz und nichts rauscht (ausser die Noise;) Das Schmuckstück hat ordentlich Gewicht, wurde mit viel Metall und sehr robust gebaut. Das Stromkabel ist lang und von bester Qualität. Alles wirkt sehr stabil und hochwertig. Das ist beste japanische Wertarbeit, die vermutlich nochmals 40 Jahre lang hält. Gebrauchsspuren, in Form von Kratzern, sieht man überwiegend an den spiegelnden Tasten (wer Lust hat, könnte sie sogar raus polieren). Das Chassis selbst, sieht noch sehr gut aus. Würd sagen, er gehört zu den besterhaltensten seiner Altersklasse. Beim saubermachen viel mir auf, dass an den Drehreglern noch die Folie drauf war (siehe letztes Foto). Sehr gerne biete ich eine vorherige Test- und Spielmöglichkeit in meinem Home-Studio an. Der Synth wiegt mehr als 6kg und wird proffesionell für einen sicheren Transport verpackt. The Xpander is a six-voice desktop version of the Matrix 12 with which it shares an identical voice architecture. In many ways they are the most flexible non-modular analog synths ever built. Each voice has five LFOs, each with about five different wave shapes, plus the ability to sample most other modulators; five envelopes that can repeat themselves, sync to an LFO, and so on; a lag processor (like portamento, but more general); three tracking generators (that apply a series of linear functions to a value over its range); some ramp generators (the attack portion of an envelope); a 15-mode filter and a user interface to make all of this accessible. Another very useful feature is its CV/gate to MIDI conversion capabilities for communication with older synths. There are six CV and Gate inputs which use standard 1V/8va CV and positive gating. So you can connect up to 6 external sources delivering CV/Gate and convert that into MIDI. Ample output options offer stereo and mono outputs as well as six additional individual audio outputs (1 for each voice) allowing you to use the Xpander as a stereo polyphonic 6-voice synth, as six individual monosynths or any combination in between. There’s even a 3rd party Mod (Oddernmart mod) that allows for an external audio input that can be routed through the filter. And like The Matrix synths, the Xpander sounds wonderful, capable of thick analog basses, pads and textures. The analog Matrix 1000 is essentially 1,000 Matrix 6 patches in a single-space compact rackmount MIDI module. It has the same synth architecture as the Matrix 6. Each of its 6 voices have two DCO’s (digitally controlled analog oscillator), a low pass filter, 2 VCA’s, 3 envelope gens, 2 LFO’s, and 2 ramp gens. The sounds are plentiful and good enough, however sounds can only be edited via MIDI, so you’ll need an external MIDI editor (such as MOTU’s Unisyn) or Access’ Matrix Programmer to edit parameters. Oberheim Xpander 6 Voice Polyphonic Synthesizer recently serviced. Condition good, but with a few dents n scratches here n there. All buttons working n knobs working fine. This synth is incredible, there are so many ways you can use it, for example splitting the 6 voices over 6 midi channels so you have 6 synths!! The idea behind the Xpander and Matrix 12 was to have the power and flexibility of a modular midi synthesizer without the cables… Anyway there’s more than enough to read about this online!
