The adjustable filter can reduce the ammount of bass or top end from being compressed. The box is original, though it says Stereo, only because 2 units can be linked together. The CP540 is a professional Compressor, it features 5 switchable filters in the detector side chain: 60, 90, 130, 200 and 440Hz. This enables the user to custom. Tune the compressor behavior to prevent bass frequencies from triggering the compressor. In practice, this prevents the low end from dominating compressor. It will give you clean and effective compression control. The CP540 Compressor also has an external side-chain input, which gives you even more control. Great engineers know how important smooth bus compression is for adding that final polish to your tracks. The CP540 provides you with a wide range of compression, from a mild 1.5:1 ratio to a heavy 10:1 setting. Frequency Response: 20 Hz 20 KHz +/- 0.5 dB. Sensitivity: 20 dBu maximum at 1 Khz.
