Vintage 1986 Ensoniq Mirage DSK-1 8-bit digital sampling keyboard. Cosmetic ondition is very nice for the age. Powers on and shows nd that stands for no disk, this sampler needs the original OS and sample disks to work, which i don’t have in order to test. When inserting a disk the drive activates and looks for the program. The original owner confirm its operation when it was last used but i cant guarantee it my self. Power source is 220v. Details of the Ensoniq DKS-1. Speaking of models, there have been several versions of the Mirage during its lifetime. The DSK-8 was the original model and it featured a black steel chassis and a weighted Pratt-Reed keyboard. Later DSK-8 models were updated with a dark gray chassis and an improved Fatar keyboard as the original Pratt-Reed did not have very good feel. These later DSK-8 models are identified by smaller gray+yellow buttons and a solid yellow Mirage logo. In 1985 the DMS-8 rack-mount version of the DSK-8 was released. Then, in 1986 the DSK-1 appeared with a newer lighter plastic chassis, a relocated disk drive, an un-weighted keyboard action and the addition of stereo outputs. The DSK-1 is easily identified by the solid red stripe on the front panel. Osc Modulation: Continuous Controller, Envelope, Fader, Keyboard, Pedal, Pitch Wheel, Glide / Portamento, Velocity. Sampling: 8 bit, 12 bit, 16 bit, 24 bit, 32 bit, Loop, One Shot (Phrase), Multi-Sample. Evelope Paramerters: Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release. Types: Low Pass, Resonance. Filter Modulation: Envelope, Keyboard, LFO, Pedal, Pitch Wheel. LFO Notes: : LFO parameters are speed and depth. Onboard Sequencer with 333-event memory. Case Details: 61 Newer plastic casing and plastic unweighted keyboard with red stripe on front panel. Keyboard: 61 keys, Non-weighted, Plastic.
