Iv had this interface for around a year now but I need to upgrade due to needing more IO’s. The preamps in this interface are great and have lots of gain. The SEND VCA is activated by the select-able momentary or toggle behavior of the large button on the bottom of the module. STEREO VCA WITH INTERACTIVE DUB STYLE STEREO SEND / RETURN. AUTODUB is a DC coupled stereo VCA tailored for interactive dub style effects and event generation via a live performance friendly effect send activation button. An external CV may be used to control the SEND VCA. The button will then activate or deactivate this control voltage signal. A convenient GATE output jack provides a gated high signal whenever the button is active. This feature allows for timed control of external modules such as envelopes, VC switches, bursts, or advancing sequences and other control signals when the button is in the ON state. Timed CVs can then be routed to external modulate-able parameters or patched into the SEND VCA CV input, allowing for more dynamic fades and modulations to control the effect SEND level. The DRY-WET mixer allows for fine adjustment or up to 2x gain on the original INPUT signal and up to 4x gain on the RETURN signal, granted that the SEND is routed back to return inputs. The LEVEL control will fully attenuate or realize the full potential gain in this instance. AUTODUB is not limited to processing audio signals (DC coupled) and therefore can be used to interactively mix control voltage signals and/or boost these signals when higher levels are required. Whether used simply as a handy stereo VCA, utility trigger button or as intended for dub-style effects on single stereo channels and sub-mixes, I hope you find AUTODUB to be a worthy addition to your modular system. With four selectable frequencies in two bands, minimal phase-shift and a range of 9 dB boost or attenuation, the Violet EQ element provides a wide range of options to dial in the right range of results. The Vintage Drive element is a novel approach to enhancing harmonic content. Controls for Drive and Density are interdependent and can produce sweet musical harmonics and a more organic style of compression with soft clipping. These can bring a cohesiveness and glue to your mixes, impossible to achieve by other means. A tri-color status indicator lets you know when youre in the sweet spot. Another tri-color status light is found on the High Frequency Compressor element, a more straightforward approach to compression that is specifically tailored for the high end of the spectrum (from 3 to 20 kHz). With the new Stereo Image element, a real analog Mid-Side control is at your fingertips. Your depth of field can be enhanced by altering the Side signal component, providing depth and width that simple panning cannot create. Several other key features round out the array of functions on the new SSL Fusion. In one mode is a Stereo Insert for processing the mix bus; this can be switched to occur before the EQ element. In the other mode, they can be used as a Mid-Side (MS) circuit, where separate signal processing like EQ or compression can be delegated to the center (Middle) and Side components of a stereo signal, either before or after the Stereo Image element.
