Audiophile IEC C14 to Locking C13. This includes Channel Islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight and Scottish Highlands. A high quality screened mains cable for use in audiophile AV systems and recording studios. There are no smoke and mirrors in these cables, just a well designed product made with quality components and without all of the hype. We have used LAPP 1.5mm CSA copper mains cable with a braided overall screen made of tinned copper. The screen is connected to ground at the plug (C14) only. This ensures that any interference collected is fed away from the system. The C14 is by Schurter. The plug pins are electroplated in Nickel to give a silver effect. The IEC C13 is Locking, they push straight on and then bind to the input pins. The connector is released by pulling the red tabs. Braided in Techflex for durability and aesthetics. FLEXO PET REMIX (PTM) is braided from 10 mil polyethylene terephthalate (PET) monofilament yarns. The material has a wide operating temperature range, resists chemical degradation, UV damage, and abrasion. LAPP öLFLEX® Screened PVC control cable (3×1.5mm, 15amp). The lead is rated at 13 amps MAX. RK-87 Microphone Capsule (Neumann K67/K87 clone) 34mm True Condenser

The RK-87 is a gorgeous version of the capsule in the Neumann U67 and U87. It has insulated backplates, and works extraordinarily well in the DU-87 and other DIY U87 kits. These capsules are selected from our best capsule stock, with excellent front to back consistency. We test them individually prior to packaging for sale. By-the-way, this will my 8th, 9th, and 10th U87 build with your capsule. People are loving it. And considering the capsule is 90% of the sound, the credit goes to you. The sound is just luscious. Theres nothing tinny or twangy, never any reverb or echo, and it really shows my voice in its best light. The sound is bright without being sharp, warm without being dull. I love the RK-87 capsule; it is slightly forward like a U87, but has really good 20k response and detail. Dual brass backplates, with the K67/K87’s traditional drilling pattern. Insulated backplates; works in 3-wire and 4-wire multipattern circuits. Imported Mylar diaphragm material, metallized with pure gold. Very thin film material for increased articulation and sensitivity. Dual diaphragm, multipattern capable. Silver plated, oxygen-free copper wires. Includes short mounting post as well as our proprietary “supersaddle” to insure ease of installation. Includes all necessary mounting screws and wires. This capsule works best in circuits designed to accommodate it. We have voiced it with a milder high-frequency boost than its German ancestor, but still we would recommend using de-emphasis circuitry to provide corrective EQ. This capsule is difficult to beat within a DIY U87 style circuit (aka the D-87). It is also a great upgrade for the ADK A51, ADK S51, MXL 2001, MXL V67G, t. Bone SC450, MXL 3000, all of which use a U87-ish front end circuit but are compromised by the use of an undersized version of the K67 capsule. It is also a fantastic match with our own MP-V57 PCB kit (available separately), which can provide the necessary corrective EQ.
