We are an authorized dealer for Magnetic Reference Labs (MRL), and offer their full line of studio alignment tapes for setting up analog tape recorders. These are NEW exclusive short test tapes, recorded for us by MRL, which contain all the tones you need to set up reproduce equalization (“EQ”) head alignment and reference levels. Tones are 50Hz, 100Hz, 1kHz, 10kHz, and 16kHz for alignment, plus a section of white noise, recommended by MRL for fine azimuth and phase adjustment, and a 20hz-20kHz continuous sweep to test frequency response. LET US KNOW which speed and EQ you want for 7.5 or 15 ips: IEC or NAB. CCIR is the old name for IEC. If you do not know the EQ, tell us the type of machine so we can send the proper tape. 3.75 ips and 30 ips only use one EQ curve. One tape is required for each speed. Don’t forget, let us know which speed and EQ: 3.75 ips, 7.5 ips, 15 ips or 30 ips, and IEC (CCIR) or NAB equalization.
