Awesome bass synth as everyone knows, but this has been converted to Eurorack format using the kit made by Million Machine March. This kit is no longer available so this is probably one of your only chances to get one. I’d love to keep it but have no space. A couple of issues to be aware of – Please consider carefully. My DIY skills are, frankly, shit. I managed to get this conversion sorted but don’t look behind if bad soldering will upset you. Everything on the synth does work from a sound perspective and sounds awesome. The one thing I messed up is the cabling to the USB input on the little MIDI sidecar thing. Extremely annoying but I recon a better DIY guy than me will sort it in about 5 minutes. I can send over the DIY guide. This thing sucks a lot of power. I had no issues in my Doepfer racks but I had problems with a Tiptop Happy ending kit with the uZeus power when combining it with other audio modules. CV modules not an issue. Just something to be aware of. It’s also a little bit quiet compared to other modules. I just put it through an output module where I could pump it up and had no problems. There’s a really annoying issue that was an issue before I even touched the conversion. I’ve spoken to Moog and they seem to think it’s by design but I find it hard to believe. Basically, when first powered on, pitch through CV is at a ridiculously low note like -C6 or something. The fix is to push a single MIDI note through it at C1 or whatever pitch you want and then the CV will work. There is no issue with MIDI at all so I tended to use it through MIDI most of the time. Let me know if you have any other questions. The item “Moog Minitaur Bass Synthesiser Converted to Eurorack” is in sale since Wednesday, February 5, 2020.
