4 x McKenzie 100watt speakers Guitar/PA/etc 12 in cabs + Trucker Stage Wedge
Very nice working PA or GUITAR or DISCO speaker cabinets. TWO 12 McKenzie 100watt 16 ohm speakers (that’s FOUR drivers). You’ll get a stage “Wedge” speaker! They’ve been used for PA but will work VERY well as Guitar Speakers. The speakers in the cabs are McKenzie 12/100TC type (Marshall used McKenzie Speakers in the good old days) with white high-frequency cones in the middle. These extend the “top end” very nicely. In addition, each cabinet has one Ceramic Tweeter to give a bit of extra sparkle to the sound. The cabinets are “rexine” covered and made from tree wood/high-density MDF type material, and are very solid. They are NOT HOMEMADE. They were bought, empty, from an Ealing Music Shop in the 1990’s and I installed the McKenzie Speakers myself, because I read that they sounded like. Units, and I had an. Have a look at my other items. Got swallowed up by Fane, many years ago, but for a while they were used in Marshall guitar amps, and Laney equipment (we are not worthy). They are very “clean” sounding and THEY HAVE NOT BEEN “THRASHED” because my Folky band wasn’t very loud! In the last few years they’ve only been used for the odd Pub Quiz. Speaker is useful for foldback, and contains a good powerful single-cone 12 8 ohm? Speaker which is a nice heavy-duty Fane or something similar. It is a “TRUCKER” which I think means that it was made by CUSTOM SOUND, and it sounds OK to me. There are two heavy-duty green weather-proof covers for the big cabinets which were made by’er indoors, and they work very well. The big cabinets show some discreet wear and tear, mostly along the one side furthest from the handle. This is from being pulled in and out of the van at gigs, on their sides! The other three sides look well OK and from the front they look very clean and impressive. Here’s some measurements. The big cabinets are 74cm x 41cm x 24cm. Wedge 39cm x 31cm x 52 cm (tapers from 31 cm to 12cm). The two big cabinets are 8 ohm, 200w each side, and the Wedge is (I think) 8ohm and about 75watts. They weigh a colossal amount. If you live in or near Suffolk/Norfolk, I may be able to deliver in my filthy van. If I HAVE to post’em (and I really don’t want to) I’ll use PARCEL FORCE and charge you an EXTRA arm and leg, or maybe you could send a courier. Than I paid for it. What a great business plan (I don’t think)! NOT INTERESTED IN PROFIT. And indeed, seldom make any! What little profit I do make goes to help. A very splendid Wildlife Rescue Charity. The item in the photograph is the item you will get. I have described everything to the best of my ability, and it all looks in excellent condition to me. Please check the photographs to decide for yourself. If there is any kind of problem, I like to sort it out personally. I can’t do this if you’re thousands of miles away!
