Technically an’automatic microphone mixer’ this is a good affordable way to get 8 transformer balanced mic preamps – these are useful beasts with 8 modular slots filled with a mic preamp that has high and low filters via screw pots – all with a direct outs for multi-tracking. Great for a studio/drum mic setup to set and forget. Also has a mixer output for a mono transformer balanced output for driving or mixing to one channel.
