Fully loaded for 24 track, it might be used as 24 track or 16 track. Both headbridges are included and both in a very good condition, so you can use it for both formats. This is truly huge and hi-end studio tape machine with tons of transformers, fully discrete electronics with lots of V396/V397 amplifiers of the best German quality of the era. I haven’t done this before, but finally counted all the Telefunken V396/V397 and other cards, there are around 260!!! -exact list on request of them. I have just realized that the cards alone are worth more than my original asking price, so boosted the one a bit to get more reasonable sale, but still you are getting the machine for less than the market value of the parts only. So just now the machine is coming in very good working and cosmetical condition. Was alligned to Basf 911 tape 16 track last year. The speeds are 15″ and 7,5″. There is an option (I have the right wheel from Mr Hilpert of Telefunken service) to upgrade the machine to have it running as Ferrari at 30″/15″. The process of refurbishment went a bit too slow than I expected and in the meantime I got some tube recorders to install in my control room, so the available space just shrunk and not enough left for this wonderful King Kong recorder. Telefunken M15 machine is much better built and more reliable than any other American multitracks and better sounding than Studer A80 or its younger brother Telefunken M15a which was based on IC board electronics, so it might be considered by most demanding studio facility. Machine is coming with complete very rare VUmeters sections and original submixer for multi-tracking. You will get also matching cables and original documentation. If your studio is big enough and interested to get best analog 24 or 16 (even better) tracks, here it is. Diemensions of the whole machine are: 122,2 cm width, 60 cm depth and 125,2 height.
